for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Clifford's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Clifford's Story...
Clifford the Big Red Dog? The name is the same, but I will not grow to be that big and am definitely not turning any shade of red anytime soon! But that doesn’t mean we can’t go on tons of adventures. We can learn all sorts of stuff about the world and each other! I am very young so I will need a dedicated and knowledgeable hand to guide me into doggie adulthood. Someone to harness the greatness I have within and unlock my true potential. Puppies can be a challenge and I should know: I am one! But I am way more manageable than if I was, say, 25ft tall! If you have the time, commitment, and energy to have my little wiggle butt all up in your heart space, then come meet me and watch the sparks fly! 12 weeks old-12lbs. My adoption fee is $260 and includes: microchip, neuter, reduced cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Clifford, a Portland Basset Hound/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Basset Hound/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Basset Hound/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
