My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I like cuddling with the volunteers. I also like to ask them about getting my very own foster and forever families. Apparently they don't understand my roos and chatter because I'm not getting any answers.

I've heard all the rumors about being a "pet" at the kennel... I know my family is out there somewhere, so I'm keeping a close eye on the gate. I love them already.

Carmen is 4 1/2 and a lovely dark brindle girl. She is not small dog or cat tolerant.

FOSTER UPDATE:

Carmen is a mellow hound who seems happiest when she's being pet. She is house trained has learned a few commands. Carmen likes to follow her foster family from room to room, but doesn't have separation anxiety when they are away. She is cautious in new situations and would probably fit best into a quiet home.

Carmen likes to run after dogs of all sizes at the park, but otherwise doesn't interact with them. She shows no aggression toward the other dogs, but just seems to like chasing them.

Carmen is content just hanging around the house with her people and going for a short walk a couple times a day. Carmen could likely live happily either as an only pet or with another mellow medium to large dog.
