Momma Momma's Story...
While doing TNR at a previous dumpster site we came across pregnant Momma Momma. The feeders tell us she was dumped years ago and has been momma to many litters through the years. Momma Momma calmly walked into the trap, ate the food, the n sat patiently waiting to be released. We looked each other in the eyes and I told her, 'Momma Momma, if your friendly you can have your last litter of kittens in the warmth and safety of my home and I will find you the home you deserve. You will never have to suffer the life of a free roaming feline ever again.' Her kittens have long been adopted but here she waits for a home to call her own. Momma Momma is a laid back, affectionate girl who has been through it all and still loves you unconditionally.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Momma Momma, a Richmond Calico cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Calico cat from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
