My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mckenzie is a sweet, loving 8-year+old Boston Terrier girl. After Mckenzie was received into rescue, it was discovered that she had a medical issue which made it extremely difficult for her to breathe. All she had the energy to do was sleep and eat. She was diagnosed with an elongated soft palate, had the surgery to correct it, adjusted food intake to lose a few pounds and this girl is doing fantastic!

She loves to play with her toys and with her foster Boston brother and she loves meeting new dogs and is ready to play. She is such a happy girl now that she feels so good.

She loves to go for rides in the car, give kisses and snuggle. She is completely potty trained, never had an accident in the house. The only thing we discovered that Mckenzie does not like is to be crated or enclosed in a room with the door closed. There is really no need to confine her as she does not get into anything when left alone at home.

Mckenzie would be so happy to be in a forever home with another playmate or she could be an only dog. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and is heartworm negative. She does need seizure medication which works very well. She has not had a seizure since entering rescue in March, 2014.

If you are interested in finding out more about McKenzie, please call her foster parents C B or Linda at 843-327-8124. To adopt McKenzie, visit bostonrescueofsc.com and fill out the adoption application. McKenzie's adoption fee is $250.
