This dog has been in THE RED DOG PROJECT, a prison rehabilitation program managed by Dog Days Adoption Events, Inc. The program consists of fostering with inmate handlers and learning the basics of all around good behavior, potty training and interacting with other dogs.

We hope you will understand the careful scrutiny of potential adopters is not only for the safety and well-being of the dog but also for a positive experience for your household.

• A letter from your vet on their letterhead will also be very helpful if they won't be open for us to call as a reference.
• If you are renting, please note you must have a written letter of permission from your landlord to own a dog on their property.
• Red Dog Project volunteers will be conducting interviews of prospective adopters either on the phone or at the weekend event. As a policy, dogs are adopted to the best home, not the first application.
• If you have never owned a dog and therefore do not have a vet reference let us know right away and we'll try to do a home visit before the adoption. First time adopters need a quick home visit to make sure they are ready to take a dog home for the first time.

Macy is an energetic little puppy who is not afraid of ANYTHING! She is smaller than she appears in her pictures. Despite her small size, she could run with the biggest dogs and not be nervous. She's a bubbly little sweetheart and would do great in a family with young children. No nipping or mouthing issues and she is a talker when she is excited!
GENERAL VETERINARY CARE:
I have been:
~ spayed/neutered
~ microchipped (usually but not always)
~ dewormed
~ heatworm-tested negative if dog is of age to be tested ( 6 months or older)
~ up to date on all age appropriate shots
~ treated with a flea preventative
Macey has been seen by a Connecticut veterinarian and all medical records will come with the adoption papers as well as notes from Macey's dog handler.
ADOPTION FEES
Adoption fee is $385 and includes all vetting listed above.
