Basil's Story...
Basil #1158 is a 7-month-old male, Lab mix. Life on the hard streets has slightly dampened this fella’s spirits, and he would love nothing more than to have a loving owner to provide him with TLC to help him come out of his shell. We are working on leash and crate training. As with all puppies, we recommend puppy training to assist with things like crate and leash training. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption form, downloadable from our website: and return it per instructions. Email with questions. . This pup will be available for adoption at our Dogapalooza adoption event April 10-13 at the Fredericksburg, VA PetSmart.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Basil, a Waldorf Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Waldorf, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Waldorf.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waldorf already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waldorf breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waldorf paves the way for another one to be saved.
