Meghan's Story...
MEGHAN is one of 6 border collie/Lab mix puppies who were dumped along with the mother dog. She is 8 to 9 weeks old and getting her puppy shots so she is ready to find a good forever home. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Meghan if it means she will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help to cover the cost of the veterinary care she has received.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Meghan, a Union City Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Union City, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Union City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Union City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Union City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Union City paves the way for another one to be saved.
