My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Gunner and I am looking for my forever home. Imagine how you would feel if one day you were taken to a cold, noisy, smelly place and left for no apparent reason. That’s what happened when my owners decided they no longer wanted me and dumped me at a high-kill animal control facility. Was it because I’m older and no longer the cute, young boy they had known? I was very sad. Fortunately the nice people at Lucky Lab scooped me up and took me to a warm and quiet home where I settled in very quickly with my two Lab foster-brothers. I’ve been told that I am “very handsome 7-8 year old purebred English Lab.” I have a short, stocky body – just a bit over 67 lbs. – block head, a thick, otter tail and a shiny black coat. I certainly don’t potty in the house and I know my manners when it comes to the crate. While my foster-parents are at work during the day, me and my foster-brothers just nap and keep a watch on the neighborhood. Come to think of it, I get along with all dogs just not sure about cats since I haven’t been around them very much. I love to go on walks and chase the tennis ball around the yard for exercise. And when it’s time to relax I just lay down on my doggie bed and am so quiet that you would hardly know I’m there. Simply put, I’m a “cool” dog. I am neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations including rabies, heartworm negative and on preventative and micro-chipped.
