BAILEY-pending's Story...
This sweet beautiful pup arrived on April 5th. She is approx. 7 weeks of age. She is the most precious little girl and loves giving kisses. On the long drive home she snuggled up in my lap and napped the whole way. She was shy coming into the house and stayed by my legs when I showed her around. Soon, she started exploring on her own shortly after. It was obvious being on a leash was new to her so she played more than she wanted to be walked around. If she did not get outdoors in time, she has been going to the bathroom on a wee-wee pad and hasn't had accidents anywhere else. She slept soundly through the night in her crate in my bedroom and is usually happy to go in there to play. Bailey loves to nuzzle into my sweater and get her belly tickled. She was a picky eater at first but had no issues digging in once I expressed my excitement about her kibbles. She loves being around people and has not left our side yet. She has even learned to climb steps just to find me. Her eyes will melt your heart and her warm, playful personality will make her an amazing addition to your family.

UPDATE: Bailey is playful and loves to be by my feet. Even if she is napping and I leave the room she will jump up and follow me. Typical for a young pup. She did fuss in her crate last night. Besides that she is willing to sleep in or get up whenever I do, around 8 a.m. Bailey continues to use the wee wee pads if she does not get outdoors in time. So smart! She is still adjusting to the leash. She is still a young tiny pup and is not quite fond on the leash yet. She often lays down and plays rather than walking. With practice, she will get the hang of it like all other dogs do. Bailey loves baths! She was so relaxed and patient when I gave her a warm bath in the sink and thoroughly enjoyed being wrapped up in a warm blanket afterwards. She is such a sweet pup and doesn't require massive amounts of attention. She is happy just playing or cuddling with someone to nap.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BAILEY-pending, a West Milford Labrador Retriever/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie for sale in West Milford, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in West Milford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Milford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Milford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Border Collie breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Milford paves the way for another one to be saved.
