Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Brayden would be such a perfect companion for anyone who is searching for that loyal and loving lap puppy. At just 4 months old and about 9 lbs (we anticipate Brayden being about about 14 lbs when full grown) he is so portable that he can be a full-time best friend...accompanying his guardians everywhere a small and wonderful dog is allowed. It's always amazing to us at Farfel's Rescue that these dogs with great temperaments...as well as so very adorable...end up in precarious situations. Brayden was a last-minute save for us...he would have been euthanized in a dismal Texas shelter if kind TX rescuers hadn't stepped up. But how could they not have?? This little dog is just so awesome with his whole life lying in front of him...a life in which he can bring so much joy to a special family. Brayden, as a young puppy is a blank slate waiting to learn about the world. With positive guidance, puppy socialization and positive reinforcement obedience classes, Brayden can become a well-behaved and very bonded companion. He is an all-time snuggler and will cuddle his way into any heart! Brayden may be a bit shy initially as transport and rehoming is challenging for a puppy...but with love and nurturing, he will absolutely shine We envision Brayden with a retired couple or individual...he would be overjoyed with the time he could spend in their company. It's not that Brayden is a needy or whiny guy...not at all...he just loves the company of his humans who respect him for all his wonderful traits. Brayden likes children and enjoys playing with them...but we would only be open to kids 10+ who can be gentle and understanding that Brayden only weighs 9 lbs and needs soft and kind handling. For those family members who enjoy walks and time outside in the beautiful Colorado scenery...Brayden would love nothing more than to share the experience. He is always up for a walk..fascinated by the activity around him. He breathes in the air...so happy to be free of the dismal shelter environment. Then...maybe his favorite part...it's time to end the day with hugs, belly rubs and a warm spot on the bed beside his favorite people. Brayden is a non-shedding (or maybe a hair or 2 - we can't quite tell) guy and will therefore require periodic baths/brushing and great nutrition to keep his coat cotton-soft and matt-free. Brayden isn't suggested for those with very severe allergy concerns. Brayden will be arriving on transport in Denver on 4/11. Applications are currently being accepted for this exceptional and loving family companion.
