Trixie's Story...
Trixie is what is called a designer dog.....Chiweenie. Sleek black with stark white. Her tail curls over her back and ears are like wings. She might weigh 10 lbs. But she makes up for her size in heart. Trixie loves to play fetch, dances on her hind legs. She will go into a hole after a rabbit and come out smiling just because she is having a good time. Trixie loves people of all sizes and ages. Great with kids. She is active and needs to be a part of her family. Wants to be right in the middle of everything. Trixie has been spayed and is current on vaccinations. This girl is in a foster home and looking forward to a forever home of her own with an active family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trixie, a Melbourne Dachshund/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Melbourne, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Melbourne.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Melbourne already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Melbourne breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Melbourne paves the way for another one to be saved.
