Tamsin's Story...
Tamsin is located in Streamwood, IL

Hi, I'm Tamsin! I'm looking for my forever home. I'm a sweet little lady, just a tad shy at first. Once I get to know you, we'll be best friends, I promise. I get along well with other dogs and cats, but loud kids kind of scare me. I have allergies something fierce, so I need a high quality grain-free diet and probiotics to keep me healthy. Other than that, I love lazing in the sunlight, climbing around the cat trees with my foster brothers, and playing with anything that hits the floor (or ice cubes in the water dish, those are fun, too). I like sharing string cheese with the rest of the family and am starting to play with toys, too. I'm well-trained and always use my litter box, plus, like most cats, I know what I'm allowed to scratch on. I can be a counter-surfer, but my foster family is teaching me that that isn't okay.

How about we meet up sometime? Call my foster mom at (847) 346-6414 and fill out an application at I'll be waiting!

All cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, current on their vaccinations, feline leukemia/FIV tested, per age; treated for fleas/ticks and urgently awaiting adoption!
The dogs and cats are so very appreciative of your support. Together we can save these forsaken loving 'innocents' who are condemned to death.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tamsin, a Palatine American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Palatine, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Palatine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Palatine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Palatine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Palatine paves the way for another one to be saved.
