Parker's Story...
Hi, my name's Parker! I was recently brought to the shelter after bring found as a stray. Who knows what happened to my owners. The people at the shelter are guessing I'm a lab / shepherd mix, and am around 2 years old. I'm a friendly boy, and I love to play. I'm up to date on shots, neutered, and have a microchip. Now all I'm waiting for is that special someone to come and take me home and love me! Are you looking for a new best friend? So am I!!! Maybe we should get together! The shelter is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1-5, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, and Saturday from 10-2. Come visit me!

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Parker, a Youngwood Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
