Leah Lou Ann's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and good with dogs.

Leah Lou Ann's Story...
Leah Lou Ann is a lovely little Kelpie who found herself in our local pound. Kelpies are working dogs and have a tendency to herd other animals and small kids. Leah Lou Ann is looking for a home without children. She lives in a foster home with other dogs but can be selective. We recommend a meet and greet to check compatibility. Leigh has all the smarts of the herding dog breed, and would be most successful with an active owner that will continue to work on her obedience.

A $175.00 adoption donation helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases, microchipped and vaccinated for rabies, distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites if needed. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as surgeries and dentals. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leah Lou Ann, a Staunton Australian Kelpie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Kelpie for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Australian Kelpie dog from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Kelpie breeders who help with Australian Kelpie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
