Millie's Story...
Meet Millie….an adorable, sweet little girl who gets high marks for being easy to harness, take on walks, and getting along with people and other dogs. She passed her review walk with flying colors….no dog or people reactivity.
Her first day in play group revealed a dog who hasn't met a lap she didn't like!
If Millie were in school, her teacher would give her an A+ for nicest kid in class!!
Come say hello to her, but before you leave make sure you still have your heart, because she will steal it!

Act quickly to adopt Millie. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Millie, a Berkeley Maltese/Miniature Poodle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Miniature Poodle for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Maltese/Miniature Poodle dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Miniature Poodle breeders who help with Maltese/Miniature Poodle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
