My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION

THIS IS LARAMIE.....and she has been thru the wringer! This absolutely precious, tan, 2 yr old, 12 lbs, Lhasa Shih Tzu Mix came to us via the North Central Shelter totally busted up! Hit by a car and then dumped in the shelter, poor Laramie didn't just have a broken pelvis...it was a jacked up broken pelvis which required plates to put her all back together! Like Humpty Dumpty had a great fall....Little Miss Laramie made it thru it all! She had the very best foster care, who even took her for accupressure to help her recovery and now, Laramie is good as new! This little lady is as close to perfection as they come. She loves to give kisses; she engages with all types of dogs, she even is okay with cats! She enjoys her walks and seems to be potty trained (although she doesn't really tell you when she needs to go out). Laramie is the type of dog who comes into your home and it's like she has been there forever. She is a wonderful companion...she is even great with children (over 8 yrs old please) and there really isn't anyone she isn't good with! The ideal home for Laramie, and the one we will be searching for her, will be one who has a companion pup for her to play with, kids over 5 yrs old and a family who will spoil her to life the way she should be spoiled....and has has the attention and love she richly deserves. Can you give her that? If you can....she is waiting for you!

Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag

If you are interested in adopting a pup from Lhasa Happy Homes, please complete the Adoption Application before calling. We will contact you once it has been reviewed.

We currently hold our weekly adoption events every Sunday (unless we are doing a special event) at the WESTFIELD CENTURY CITY MALL located at 10250 Santa Monica Blvd., Century City, Los Angeles 90067. Enter off Santa Monica Blvd and park in the ORANGE section in the parking structure. Take the escalator up and follow the signage. We will be located near the Brooks Brothers (look for the purple tent in the Plaza between the two buildings) from 12 - 4PM

Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!

Don't forget to check out our Events Calendar for more information on upcoming events!

See our home page for more details about our adoptions at Lhasa Happy Homes.

Thanks for thinking rescue and adoption…and for considering saving a life. It will be the best gift you ever give yourself or your family.
