My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION

THIS IS QUEENIE.....and she is the queen of her thrown! This little 10 lb, b/w, 10.5 yr old senior is one of the most affectionate dogs ever! Sadly, she came from a breeder and did not get the love or attention she deserved. She was bred several times and we were told that the breeder was shutting down, and needed a place for the dogs she could not keep. Well....what she actually did was give us her older dogs and she decided not to shut down!!! That being said, we are thrilled to have them, as once they got a taste of the good life (our fosters treat our dogs like gold) they blossomed! Queenie is a little alpha baby and let's everyone know that when she is on the couch with her mama, that's HER space! She wants her human all to herself! She knows where to go to do her business, but it may take her a few days to get the lay of the land! Queenie does have dry eye, which will require drops in her eyes....but she sees fine. When she first came to us her teeth were horrible, so she had a dental and surprisingly didn't lose any! Queenie would be super for a mature household....where she could keep a lap warm! She is low maintenance, just needs her drops and she is a happy go lucky dog! Loves her walks and loves YOU! Don't let her age deter you...we have a 16 yr old and he is still going strong! These dogs live long lives...and Queenie just needs a home to spend the rest of her golden years. Might that be with you? You'd be one lucky family to get this priceless jewel!

Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID

We will contact you once it has been reviewed.

We currently hold our weekly adoption events every Sunday (unless we are doing a special event) at the WESTFIELD CENTURY CITY MALL located at 10250 Santa Monica Blvd., Century City, Los Angeles 90067. Enter off Santa Monica Blvd and park in the ORANGE section in the parking structure. Take the escalator up and follow the signage. We will be located near the Brooks Brothers (look for the purple tent in the Plaza between the two buildings) from 12 - 4PM

Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!

Don't forget to check out our Events Calendar for more information on upcoming events!

See our home page for more details about our adoptions at Lhasa Happy Homes.

Thanks for thinking rescue and adoption…and for considering saving a life. It will be the best gift you ever give yourself or your family.
