My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

There isn't a better name for this sweet girl. She is a big lump of sugar and is more then happy to lay some of that sugar on you. Forget about proper introductions because the minute Sugar sees you you are her long lost friend and nothing makes her happier then spending time with you. As a matter of fact, Sugar could have been called Shadow as she loves to follow us humans around wherever we are. In foster care she loves to follow her foster parents around in hopes of some petting and a chance for her to give you a kiss. Then she's happy to sit on a nearby dog bed and chew on her favorite plushy toy before she catches some zzzzz's.

Sugar rides very well in the car, most time she just curls up into a little ball and falls asleep. Sugar is housetrained and never chews on anything inappropriate. She is partial to her plushy toys and is always happy to play a game of fetch. While Sugar is a big gal, she is excellent with even the smallest of kids.

Sugar needs a home with a large yard for games of fetch and room to stretch her long legs. She's a strong gal so jogs or walks with her need to be with a confident handler. We have trained her on heel, sit, down, leave it and several other commands. She's happy to show you her tricks, however, if there is a bunny nearby, all bets are off - hence the need to have a strong walking buddy. Once she burns off her energy she is happy to hang out with you. Potential adopters should LOVE love! Sugar has a ton to give and wants to share kisses, snuggle time and if you let her she would love to sleep with you too!

So if you're looking for a goofy, loving family dog, look no further! Sugar is eager to meet and start the next chapter of her life!
