Fallon's Story...
How cool is Fallon? Fallon is so cool that even people who aren’t particularly crazy about cats want to hang with him.

Yep. He’s THAT cool.

This young male patch tabby has more going for him than his golden-green eyes and muscular good looks – although his handsomeness is quite undeniable. He’s also a playful, loving goofball who excels at putting the “companion” in “companion animal.”

He greets everyone he meets with a head hug and a loving body brush to hint at the affection he’s more than ready to receive. Rub his noggin or his tushy, and he’ll snuggle in and purr like a sexy feline race car. Feeling playful? What a coincidence! Fallon is too! He’ll chase that laser or feather toy for as long as you’re willing to shake it. Afterward, how about more snuggling, or perhaps some catnip for him to roll in? If you need some alone time, Fallon is cool with that too. During quieter times, he has been seen admiring himself in the mirror -- because, “Hello, Handsome!” -- or hanging out in an Amazon shipping box -- because, "Box!"

A former stray rescued from the city pound, Fallon really had no place on the mean streets of Chicago. He’s thriving as an indoor cat in his Rogers Park foster home. He happily coexists with four other cats and a couple of low-key dogs. Like the excellent houseguest that he is, he knows what the litterbox is and uses it like a champ.

As a kitty comedian, chatterbox, and welcomer of all guests, Fallon has earned his name. Adopt him, and enjoy your own 24/7 “Tonight Show.”

Fallon has tested positive for the FIV virus, which is NOT contagious to people or dogs. It can only be spread to other cats through bite wounds, and after almost a year in foster care, we are confident that biting is NOT Fallon’s style; he’s a lover and goofball, not a fighter or a biter. Fallon is healthy, micro-chipped, up-to-date on vaccines, fecal and virus-tested. His adoption fee of $95 benefits the Friends of Chicago Animal Care & Control. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fallon, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
