LAP CAT ALERT! Nearly six years old now, sweet CATHERINE needs a quiet, loving home where a resident dog or aggressive cat will betray her hiding spot. When in a new place, she does need to be allowed her safe places. Catherine's favorite place is my lap. But lap snuggling has to be her idea. Then you have a purring, adoring cat who is apt to reach out and touch your face while staring into your eyes - so sweet. She gets along with the other cats here, but has known them all her life. She has perfect litter box habits. And - she had her teeth cleaned in February 2016! If this precious kitty is to have a successful adoption, she will need somebody who can see her through what is likely to be a challenging transition. She has been with me since 4 weeks of age. Once adjusted, this sensitive, sweet girl will be a delight. When she sees me, she rolls over multiple times and 'makes pretty' so I can rub her soft tummy fur. That's when she lets me pick her up and hold her over my shoulder. She will make a great pet once she feels safe, but feeling safe may take time and patience. The way to her heart is canned food, which is necessary for a successful transition. And let her hide! She's had a few bad experiences where potential adopters would not let her hide and feel safe. Catherine is spayed, has age appropriate shots, tested negative for feline leuk and FIV, was treated for worms and fleas, is microchipped. A donation of $35 is needed to make Catherine yours. Call Dorothy at 352-666-9209 or email email@example.com. You can meet Catherine by appointment in her foster home.
