Gorgeous, Mellow Yellow Lab Mix -- My Name is Susie Q!!!!
I am a stately beauty, a 2-year-old, 55 pound yellow lab mix (with the adorable ears of a Shar Pei). Others say that I'm as cute and sweet as they come but I'm too modest to say it myself. I'm easy-going, quiet, and get along with all dogs. (Don't know about cats.) I'm spayed, have current shots and am micro-chipped. I am house-trained and crate trained.
With people, I might be a bit shy at first, yet warm up within a few seconds or minutes. It might take me longer to warm up to men. But then . . . I'm the most loving dog ever!
I'd be happy as the only dog or could have other dog buddies. I like to play a little and then usually ignore other dogs if I'm not in the mood to play.
Susie Q has great manners and uses them everywhere:
• Housetrained 100% (no accidents in her foster home!)
• Calm and well-mannered in the house
• Crate trained
• Not a barker but will bark if there's something she feels you'd want to know about
• Loves people

Susie Q was abandoned and seen wondering the streets before being picked up by the animal control officer. Susie attended obedience classes and did very well! She turned from a fearful dog into a happy, loving, gentle girl that craves love. When our foster organization discovered Susie, she'd been at the shelter for awhile, and her time had run out. We sure are glad we saved her because she's a delightful girl and ready to go to her new home today. (And we deeply thank the shelter staff for the training and love they put into her and for giving her another chance).
