Gabby's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Gabby's Story...
Gabby is a gorgeous, dark sable female GSD who will be 5 in May. She is spayed, weighs about 60 pounds, and is housebroken. Gabby is clicker trained and loves her tennis balls and frisbees. She lives with an elderly Elkhound and plays well with other dogs, even small dogs. So far Gabby has had no exposure to cats. She loves people, especially children, and would make an excellent family companion. I am posting this for her current owner, who cannot keep Gabby, but Gabby may be in residence here soon. ********************************
BREED INFORMATION: The GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG has a distinct personality marked by direct and fearless, but not hostile, expression, self-confidence and a certain aloofness that does not lend itself to immediate and indiscriminate friendships. The dog must be approachable, quietly standing its ground and showing confidence and willingness to meet overtures without itself making them. It is poised, but when the occasion demands, eager and alert; both fit and willing to serve in its capacity as companion, watchdog, blind leader, herding dog, or guardian, whichever the circumstances may demand.
If you'd like to be considered as an adoptive home for Gabby, please contact us for an application. Gabby's adoption donation is TBD.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gabby, a Ripley German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Ripley, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Ripley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ripley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ripley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ripley paves the way for another one to be saved.
