Dixon's Story...
Dixon came to Almost Home, along with his brother Mason, as an owner surrender. Mason and Dixon are 2 years old, are littermates, and are very much attached to each other. Even so, we feel that they would do fine in separate homes.
Dixonis a very sweet boy who loves attention, and is still a little bit nervous, as he is still very new to rescue. He rides well in a car, and is crate and house trained. He has a very distinctive ridge of hair along his neck and back that gives him a little extra personality! Dixon came to us from a family who had cats, so, he should be okay in a home with cats, unlike many of our other weimaraners.
A fenced yard is required for Dixon's adoption, no exceptions. Local adoptions (within an hour of Nashville) only, please (no exceptions).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixon, a Murfreesboro Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner for sale in Murfreesboro, or seeking a Weimaraner dog from a breeder in Murfreesboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Murfreesboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Murfreesboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner breeders who help with Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Murfreesboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
