Facts about Willy

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Brown Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
Willy is a confident, outgoing kitty who will keep you on your toes for years to come! At four years old, this friendly boy is as playful as it gets and is always looking for something to do. He is very curious and will always offer his help when you are busy - whether that means he needs to re-file your papers for you, check out those new boxes that came in the mail, or reorganize the kitchen counter, Willy is on the job. Willy spent the first months of his life in a research facility, but it did not take him long to learn about the finer things in life and he knows now that he deserves the best! Willy spends a lot of his time with his partner in crime, Chester, and these two boys would really love to find a home together!

Kindness Ranch provides sanctuary and a place of rehabilitation for animals previously used in laboratory research. All of the animals available for adoption at Kindness Ranch are up-to-date on vaccines and spayed or neutered. Visitations and adoptions are done by appointment only. For adoption inquiries email CAM@kindnessranch.org. More information about Kindness Ranch can be found at www.kindnessranch.org.

About Kindness Ranch Animal Sanctuary

About Our Shelter...

The mission of the Kindness Ranch is to provide a sanctuary and place of rehabilitation for animals who have been used in laboratory research.

Staff at Kindness Ranch work to rehabilitate our dogs and cats in a home-like environment. Cats and dogs at the ranch live together with their human caretakers in spacious yurts specially designed to meet their needs. They receive round-the-clock care to help them adjust to their new lives.

The Kindness Ranch also provides foster and adoption programs for all the animals we can rehabilitate. Those who are too debilitated, old or ill to be placed in a loving home can remain on the ranch to live out their days, surrounded by caretakers and volunteers who put the animals’ well-being first.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Potential adopters are welcome to visit Kindness Ranch and meet the animals by appointment. Some animals are also able to visited in or near their foster homes. We sometimes hold adoption events in Cheyenne, WY and Casper, WY.

Our Adoption Process...

We require an adoption application to be filled out and may request a home visit if deemed necessary. Potential adopters are counseled on the special needs that many lab animals have and will work with a staff member to find a good match for their home. The adoption fee is $50 for cats and $150 for dogs. All adopters sign an adoption contract, as well, and are encouraged to keep in touch with pictures and stories!
