My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Penelope wants you to pick her. Or even just pet her. Or even just glance her way! She's a genuinely happy dog who's always jumping up and wagging her tail. It's amazing, in fact, that she's so loving, because Penelope was rescued from a commercial breeder and hasn’t had that much human attention in her life. Some dogs would be traumatized for years by that! But Penelope is just bouncing around, hoping to become somebody's new dog. She does tend to be quite needy so her new guardian ought to encourage some independence otherwise her neediness could lead to separation anxiety. Not leaving her human’s side might be flattering to Penelope’s new guardian, but being a “Velcro” dog is not helping her to develop some independence. She needs to be exercised, trained, and encouraged to interact with other dogs. .Like most former breeding dogs, another well adjusted canine in the home would benefit her. . If you'll be her first and forever home, Penelope she'll treat you to her happy dance every day. Please fill in the Adoption Form if you would like to adopt Penelope.
