My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Howdy there! My name is Franklin. I am about 5 years old and I weigh about 65 lbs.
I was found as a stray in the Homeworth area. I had been running out in the neighborhood for at least a week or so. Nobody could catch me. I was fearful of everyone and everything. I was getting pretty hungry and finally was captured in a fenced yard by a lady who'd been trying to get me. The pound came out first thing the next morning and was able to catch me with in just a couple of minutes. I really warmed up fast and by the time she got to the pound with me I had really blossomed in to a very, very nice, sweet dog.
I am the SWEETEST boy imaginable. I am a very personable dog. I love cuddling with people and I will (literally, very gently) cuddle up and hug you (just check out my third picture)!!!
I am also a very sweet and gentle soul with all of my dog friends I meet here at the pound. I am even very friendly and social with the small furry dogs.
I am a very clean coonie boy. I keep my kennel clean at night. I am also very good in the office and will potty outside as long as I am taken outside often enough.
If you're looking for an awesome, sweet, calm hound boy to add to your family, please consider adopting me.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.

PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER APRIL 11, 2014.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.

MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.

THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
