My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fergie is a very sweet 6-year-old Pekingese who has retired from show life as a champion. She is DEAF and partially blind but that does not prevent her from being a very sweet and affectionate dog. She is a small Pekingese at 10 lbs.
She would be great for someone who prefers a lap dog rather than an active energetic companion. She gets along with small dogs (less than 20 lbs.) and probably would be suitable in a cat home. Children age 8 plus are O.K.
There is a $50 adoption fee with an adoption contract and agreement that if she is not suitable for your home she would be returned to the rescue.
**She does require daily eye drops such as Genteal or Systane due to prevent dry eyes and weekly ear cleaning to prevent ear problems. Pekingese need regular grooming so if her coat is kept long it needs daily brushing; most Peke owners have a short puppy cut during the summer months as Pekes don't tolerate temperatures above 80 degrees.
We only adopt to residents in the Northern California region.
