Althea's Story...
Please welcome Althea!

Althea went to a shelter after a bad situation. Her dad had been unnecessarily killed and she, her mother and sibling were surrendered to the shelter in rough shape. Both mom and puppies were extremely malnourished and unfortunately Althea's sibling did not make it. Due to her poor health, Althea was placed into a wonderful foster home that could feed her a gruel every 2 hours around the clock. She is now thriving! Althea was taken to the vet, where she was treated for an infected wound and severe case of intestinal parasites. Mom found a good home on her own, so now its little Althea's turn to look forward to her forever home!

Althea is almost 5 weeks old and will be available for adoption in 3 weeks. Please contact us at Thefortrescue@gmail.com if you are interested.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Althea, a Asheboro Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Asheboro, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Asheboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Asheboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Asheboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Asheboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
