My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Check out ALL of our listings at this link!!
Once in awhile a dog is surrendered to a shelter by its owner for truly unfortunate circumstances and it breaks everyone's heart: the owner's, the shelter director's and the dog's. That is Bruiser's story: surrendered by a elderly man who loved him so deeply yet fell too ill to care for him, forcing him to give up Bruiser to a high-kill shelter. Bruiser became so disoriented and confused, he began to deteriorate in that stark environment. When his time was up at the shelter, he was brought to the vets to be put down, but Bruiser was so kind and so mellow, the vets just couldn't make that his last day. Instead, they pulled him to safety, vetted him and now Bruiser is finally beginning to have faith that life is going to be alright before his time is up again. He is an awesome boy and we can't imagine his owner's pain of letting him go. Bruiser is very loving and has a quiet, calm personality and gets along so well with everyone. As he walks past other kennels, he loves to stop at each one, with his big lumbering tail constantly wagging "Hello!" to every dog he sees. He loves people and has easily become the staff favorite -- he's just a big Gentle Giant!! Bailey is about 2 years old, he's very well-mannered, he is a solid 70 - 75 pounds and and he is a very healthy boy. The vet has given him a reprieve, but only for a short time so he is urgently in need of a home. If you can make Bruiser believe in forever again, please visit www.pinkshelter.com for more information about the adoption process or click here for our online application. Full vetting AND neuter included in his $300 adoption fee. Bruiser is in Arkansas and transport fee is additional $140. IF YOU HAVE AOL or YAHOO PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FILE FOR OUR RESPONSE.
