Devin's Story...
Devin is a 6-year old neutered white with tan Chihuahua who weighs about 6.5 lbs. His favorite times in his world are mealtimes, walks, car rides, and a comfortable dog bed with a blanket (to curl under) inside or out of a crate. After his walk, his place in life is a spot in the sun. He is a soft child and needs to be placed with older respectful children, or just adults. At the moment, Devin does live with other dogs, but doesn’t interact with them unless it’s a game of chase in the yard. Devin lives with his foster mom in the Mira Mesa area of San Diego.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Devin, a Vista Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Vista, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
