Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Little Opie has had a tough time getting started in his young life. He's just as cute as a button, and he will make someone a great new best friend and companion. The only problem is that due to cataracts in both eyes, he has very little eyesight. He's a beautiful little Poodle, and he was two years old when he came to PAWS on 1-04-14. He came from another very small rescue that didn't have enough room for him, so they asked us to take him.
After we got him we took him to a canine ophthalmologist, and he feels if the cataracts are removed he can have normal (or almost normal) vision in both eyes. He said he usually does both eyes at the same time, and the total cost for the surgery will be between $2600 and $2900 (probably closer to $2600 than $2900). We don't have the money to do that, so we are looking for an adopter who is willing and able to have the surgery done so he can have a normal life.
He has been neutered, micro-chipped, dewormed, tested for heartworm (he is negative), and he is current on his routine shots except for a rabies shot which a vet will have to give.
