Meet Wildcat, one of the Final Four puppies who arrived in time for March Madness! (Her mom, Carly, looks like an Airedale/terrier mix and we think dad might be a shepherd mix.) Like her namesake Kentucky team, Wildcat is very athletic and can hold her own even though she's young. She is the most independent of her siblings, and perhaps also the smartest.
Currently 8 weeks old, she weighs just over 10 pounds, is paper trained and on her way to being house-trained. She is very well socialized, loves people, and used to playing with larger, older dogs. As her name implies, Wildcat is cute but not much of a snuggler!
You can meet Wildcat at Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Road, anytime during store hours 7 days a week. (847-251-6750 www.wilmettepetcenter.com). Although you may want to adopt her on the spot, please know that you will have to go through the application process first.
Wildcat's date of birth is 2/11/14 and her adoption fee of $375 includes: vet exam, DAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, bordetella vaccination, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm preventative, and spay.
March Madness play-offs are now over, and this little Wildcat is ready to go home. Are you ready to add her to your team? Because she is so young, she will need a family where someone is home part or all day, to continue her potty-training and keep her socialized and exercised.
