My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Badger, one of the Final Four puppies who arrived in time for March Madness! Badger looks like his mom, Carly, and might be part Airedale. (Airedales are born black, then change color as they get older.) Like his namesake team's Wisconsin fans, Badger is perhaps the most vocal of the Final Four pups. He loves attention like his bigger brother, but is not as athletic as his little sisters who are already climbing up and down the stairs. But he is a complete sweetheart and the only puppy who actually tries to talk to you.

Currently 8 weeks old, Badger weighs about 12 pounds, and is pretty much paper trained and on his way to being house-trained. He is very well socialized, really loves people, and is used to playing with larger, older dogs.

You can meet Badger at Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Road, anytime during store hours 7 days a week. (847-251-6750 www.wilmettepetcenter.com). Although you may want to adopt him on the spot, please know that you will have to go through the application process first.

Badger's date of birth is 2/11/14 and his adoption fee of $375 includes: vet exam, DAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, bordetella vaccination, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm preventative, and neuter.

March Madness play-offs are now over, and this big guy is ready to go home. Are you ready to add Badger to your team? Because he is so young, he will need a family where someone is home part or all day, to continue his potty-training and keep him socialized and exercised.
