Raina's Story...
Raina is a female, Tabby/Tiger, young adult. She is declawed in front and possibly spayed. Raina was left at the shelter in an outside pen during the recent heavy rains. No information was left with her. She was found in the morning by staff waiting patiently in the rain and cold for someone to get her. She is a very nice cat. She likes attention and affection. Use ID# 2-6-1. If you are interested in any of our homeless pets, please, CALL IMMEDIATELY. Due to lack of staff and time to check email, we ask that you call the shelter at 574-896-5060 to insure that contact is made. Our hours are: Mon.-Sat., 10am-4pm central. Please, leave a message on the answering machine if unable to get through to staff. We will return calls, if you leave your name and number. Thank you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Raina, a North Judson Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in North Judson, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in North Judson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Judson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Judson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Judson paves the way for another one to be saved.
