Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Khaki has been in THE RED DOG PROJECT prison rehabilitation program. That means at least four weeks of fostering with inmate handlers and learning the basics of all around good behavior, potty training and interacting with other dogs.
Here is more information about me:
Before joining the Red Dog Project, Khaki was in a foster home with kids and dogs and did great with both!. Khaki is a very sweet, initially shy dog. However, the foster has reported that since coming into her home she is now starting to blossom. One of Khaki's sisters also has young child (~3-4), and is doing great and has been reported to be one of the calmest puppies she has ever had. I have noticed similar characteristics with Khaki.
GENERAL VETERINARY CARE:
I have been:
~ spayed/neutered
~ microchipped
~ dewormed
~ heatworm-tested negative if dog is of age to be tested ( 6 months or older)
~ up to date on all age appropriate shots
~ treated with a flea preventative
Khaki has been seen by a Connecticut veterinarian and all medical records will come with the adoption papers as well as notes from Khaki's dog handler.
ADOPTION FEES
Adoption fee is $385 and includes all vetting listed above.
ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION FORM:

ADOPTION PROCESS -
If you would like to begin the application process, please fill in the form at the link above and we will review your information, call your personal and well as vet references. PLEASE Fill in the application if you're interested in adoption. We hope you will understand the careful scrutiny of potential adopters is not only for the safety and well-being of the dog but also for a positive experience for your household. Thank you for saving the life of a shelter dog through adoption; you are truly a hero.
-- A letter from your vet on their letterhead will also be very helpful if they won't be open for us to call as a reference.
-- If you are renting, please note you must have a written letter of permission from your landlord to own a dog on their property.
-- If you have never owned a dog and therefore do not have a vet reference let us know right away and we'll try to do a home visit before the adoption. First time adopters need a quick home visit to make sure they are ready to take a dog home for the first time.
The Red Dog Project dogs will often visit area retailers for a Saturday or Sunday "debut", please email info@reddogproject.org if you would like to be on the mailing list for those events.
Thank you!
