Apricot's Story...
Apricot is a darling little girl in a harder to find color - a gorgeous seal brown! She's thoughtful, friendly and very sweet :) She arrived here in RI with her brother from a high kill shelter in rural Alabama. We really aren't sure what she is mix wise. Right now he looks like a mini Lab with lighter head features, has a terrier-like personality (both she and her brother are vivacious little spirits) and she will likely mature to no more than a medium size. Well adjusted and easy to love, she will fit into any home. Our adopt fee is $400, which includes her spay.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Apricot, a West Warwick Labrador Retriever/Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Chihuahua for sale in West Warwick, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in West Warwick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Warwick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Warwick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Chihuahua breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Warwick paves the way for another one to be saved.
