GIDEON JARU's Story...
Gideon Jaru was scheduled to be killed at noon the day we rescued him. We just could not let his life end. And he has been a joy since the day he arrived. He learns very quickly and listens very well. He walks well on a leash and has been pretty good off leash too. He has started doing some hiking with us which he loves. He plays well with others but can be a little much for those smaller than he is, but he is learning to be more careful with smaller pups. He loves belly rubs and most nights he is stretched out on his back, feet in the air, snoozing happily. He doesn't seem too affected by his ordeal in the shelter. He is about 4-5 months old. He seems to bond very quickly with people.

Gideon's adoption fee is $325 to help offset the costs of getting him all ready for adoption. For more information please contact Becca at blackdogs@me.com. For an application, please contact Dawn @ blackdogsrescue@icloud.com. Gideon will be available to meet his pre-approved adopter at an upcoming meet and greet in Hagerstown, MD.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

GIDEON JARU, a Bluemont Husky/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Bluemont, or seeking a Husky/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Bluemont.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bluemont already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bluemont breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Husky/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bluemont paves the way for another one to be saved.
