Meet our big boy Geronimo. He may be a big boy, but he is just a big goofball at heart. He weighs about 70lbs and is tall, but that is just a big hunk of lovin. He is a real sweet boy who loves to play and get as much attention as he can get. He appears to be some kind of Pointer mix and is only about 1-2 years old. His coat is very smooth and shiny and makes him quite the handsome fella.

Since Geronimo is still young, he has plenty of energy and would make a good running partner. Geronimo gets along with all dogs he's met and played with, but we haven't had him with any bossy boys yet.  He's been in play groups with 3 or 4 other dogs and does great, playing like a pup. Geronimo is a smart boy too and should be very trainable. He just wants to be friends and get some love. Please consider opening your heart and home to this boy, he won't disappoint.

Geronimo is up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped.

About Scout's Honor Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Scout’s Honor Rescue is an all-breed, no-kill, Not-For-Profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization committed to bringing Courage, Character and Compassion to Houston’s homeless pet population and making a positive difference in the lives of these stray and abandoned animals and the Houston community as a whole. 100% of every dollar donated goes directly to saving the life of a homeless animal.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Scout's Honor Rescue does not currently have its own facility to keep the animals in its adoption program. All animals in our program are fostered by individuals who keep the dog or cat at their residence until it is adopted. Consider opening your home to a dog or cat in need. You become the caregiver to a precious animal – their future is in your hands! It is incredibly rewarding to know that you have given that animal the two most precious gifts- Life and Love. For many of them, this is the first kind hand they have known.

Our Adoption Process...

SHR will require an application and home visit for the adoption of any of our animals. The customary adoption fee is $150 for dogs $85 for cats.
