Patches's Story...
Who’s ready for a challenge? In the right corner it’s me Patches, and in the left corner it’s you, my new savior…but hey I’m sure we can work things out by the 3rd or 4th round and get along just fine. I sure am a handsome little devil huh, and only 2 years old! Let me tell you, I’m a Jack Russell Terrier through and through…lots of attitude, confidence, and did I mention how good looking I am? I will need a patient, firm yet gentle hand to guide me through these troubled times, but I promise you will be rewarded in the end. I’m housebroken, smart, and there is a rumor around town that I have great house manners. I also love car rides and get along with other dogs and cats too, just no children for me! So why not go down to the video store, rent a season of The Dog Whisperer, and take me home! 2 years old-17lbs. My adoption fee is $160 and includes; neuter, 5 week Training Class, free veterinary exam (SE Portland/Milwaukie area only),1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Patches, a Portland Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
