My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rambo was found as a stray the day after Christmas, 2013, and held in a small rural shelter in Southern California. Not a happy holiday season for the big fella (70 lbs), since no one came for him, but he made the best of it. So charming and friendly, he became a shelter staff favorite who was often allowed to run free while county officers were on site because he always stayed close and returned easily to his kennel. But as time went on, seeing other dogs leave for new homes, he became sad. Staff worried about him and urged volunteers to pull him to safety into temporary foster until a rescue group could be found.

The volunteer who kept him in her home while waiting to transfer him to Dusty Paws says he is one of the favorite dogs she has ever rescued. She christened him LoverBoy because he seems to love people so much. Now in Dusty Paws foster, he is winning additional admirers. LoverBoy now has another name - Rambo. He is a ready-made companion, just waiting for a human soul-mate to share a home with forever. The more Rambo has of your company the better. He is happy to be around other dogs, but does tend to want to be alpha and get the lion's share of your attention.
