Bailey's Story...
If you are looking for a handsome, loveable, calm and well mannered companion, then look no further because Bailey is the boy for you! Coming from a shelter as a stray, we know that somewhere along the way Bailey had a good home because he is so kind, gentle and good in the house and he loves being in the house with his people. He goes for short daily walks and is really enjoying being part of his foster family with their three daughters who are giving him endless amounts of smooching and loving daily. Bailey is 8-10 years old, current on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, neutered, micro-chipped and ready for his new home so he can enjoy the summer months with his forever family. If you are interested in learning more about Bailey, please call 501-6899 or go to our website at www.greatrescue.org to complete/submit an adoption application. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bailey, a Jacksonville Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
