Meet Wallie! She is a sweet 8 month old puppy with a gorgeous smile. She likes to rub up against you for a head scratch and nuzzle you for some attention. Wallie is good to cuddle with too. She is curious about cats so needs to be introduced slowly. She likes to play with other dogs and will put her butt in the air and elbows on the ground as a sign that she is ready to play. She likes squeaky toys and also to play ball. She will engage other dogs to play with her. Her whole back end wags when her tail wags and it's so darn cute. She is all puppy and will make a game out of most anything. She loves to play with her kennel mate Westie. She is food mativated so training should be easier. She would make a great companion for a family with kids or even a senior adopter. Does she sound like the dog for you? Please fill out an adoption application.

Unless otherwise indicated, all Double Dog Rescue dogs have received the following before being available for adoption:
Thorough veterinary examination
All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (kkennel cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming
Spay/Neuter
All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.
If any dog shows any signs of disease or ailment, DDR vets the dog until he or she has a clean bill of health to the best of our knowledge. This includes anything from being treated for Heartworm, Broken Leg, Cherry Eye, Torn ACL, Upper Respiratory etc.)
NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 4 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
