My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gracie--Updated Bio 8-5-14 Gracie is a sweet, loving Malti-poo. She is most likely 9 1/2 years old and weights 14 pounds. She is being fostered in Leesburg, FL.

Gracie has settled back into her foster home and is doing great. She is down to 2 kinds of eye drops instead of three, and her ear infection has been cleared up. We thought she has a urinary tract infection, but it turned out that she has crystals in her urine, and now she is on a special Rx diet. It's no big deal because she's a great eater, and the food costs no more than any good high quality dog food. This will stop the reoccurrence of crystals, and she will continue to lead a long and healthily life. She is just a great little girl.

Gracie loves to walk around with a toy in her mouth, and is not usual to find her in her doggie bed surrounded by all the toys she has dragged out of the toy box to her special place. She always remembers to grab a toy to bring out with her when she goes out to potty. Gracie is house trained, sleeps great in her special doggie bed, and is so quiet. She hardly ever barks, she gets along with the other dogs in the house, though she does hog all the toys, and she ignores the cats. She's great in the car and loves to be with her people. Gracie would be a great companion to someone wanting a faithful, loving, sweetheart. She will be your best friend and be by your side for life. Gracie has been through so much. If anyone deserves a loving, forever home it is her. Please find it in your heart to be Gracie's forever family. She's waiting and hoping for you to find her, take her home, and love her forever.

Gracie -- Updated Bio 6/29/14. Hello again, Sweet Gracie is back with us. She is an adorable Malti-poo weighing about 14 pounds, being fostered in Leesburg, FL

Gracie has had quite a month. She was adopted by a nice family, but unfortunately they could not keep her. It seems Gracie does not do well with young children and nipped at one of the youngsters in the home.

Gracie developed a terrible ear infection and it is most likely the pain has caused her to be anxious and irritable. She simply did not want anyone touching her or bothering her. She has had her ear packed with antibiotics and has been on oral antibiotics and some pain meds for a week now and is much improved. She will be going to the vet this week to see if surgery is required or if we can keep treating her with antibiotics until the infection is cleared up. If the vet determines this will be a chronic reoccurrence then surgery may be the only alternative to constant pain. She may end up deaf in one ear, but Gracie is such a trooper and such a love it won't get her down.

She is still on her eye drops for her good eye and is doing great. She will always need eye drops, but it is no big deal, a drop in her eye, a treat, and she is good to go. This amazing little girl has been through so much and yet her tail is always up and wagging. She only wants love and a forever home where she will finally stay for the rest of her days.

Gracie is house trained and gets along with the other dogs. But we now know she cannot go to a home with young children. She would probably love being with a stay at home person who will give her all the attention and shower her with the love she deserves. She promises to return that love back every day. She would be a wonderful companion to someone who needs that special friend. Maybe you are that one special person she has been waiting for her whole life.

After her vet visit this week we will know more about Gracie. Look for an update coming soon.

Updated Bio 4/3/14: Gracie is a sweet, adorable 9 year old malti-poo, weighing 13 pounds. Gracie is being fostered in Leesburg, FL.

Gracie has been in her new foster home about 2 weeks and her new foster parents think she's about the sweetest little girl ever. She is so quiet, she never barks, she gets along with the dogs, the cats, and everyone who comes into the house. She is a great eater, and sleeps all night in her doggy bed next to her foster mom and dad's bed. Gracie is also house-trained and does all her business outside.

Gracie had eye surgery and had to have her right eye removed; however, she is doing super with her remaining eye. Because of having untreated dry eye for so long, Gracie needs to have a few different kinds of drops in her eye, but they are not too expensive. She knows after each drop, she gets a little treat so she doesn't mind having the drops put in her eye. Gracie just visited the vet for a follow up and got a great report. Her remaining eye is stable and there has been no vision loss.

Gracie is on a limited ingredient food diet. She appeared to have some food allergies, and with her new food is doing better. This food costs no more than any good quality, no grain food, and can be purchased at any store that carries high quality dog food.

If you are looking for the nicest, gentlest dog who would be your best companion and friend for the rest of her life, look no further. Gracie is a very healthy, very well-behaved, perfect little angel. She loves to be walked and walks great on a leash, she travels nicely in the car, and just wants to be loved. Maybe you would be the perfect person or family to bring Gracie into your life and give her the love and the forever home she wants so much.
