Lexie's Story...
Lexie is a 13 wk old Lab/Chesapeke Bay Retiever Mix that was pulled from a high kill pound in Indiana along with her sister Emma (also posted). Lexie is black and white with hints of gold through her fur. Lexie is very sweet and loving, but a little shy. Lexie is doing great on house breaking, is crate trained, does well on the leash, and is learning "sit". Lexie is a bit territorial towards other animals while in her crate, but with the right guidance, she will over come that. Lexie will need some basic obedience training. IT IS REQUIRED THAT SHE BE ENROLLED IN A PUPPY CLASS WITHIN 2 WEEKS AFTER ADOPTION IS FINAL. Lexie will be spayed and vaccinated prior to adoption. Please visit our main website and fill out an online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lexie, a Oak Lawn Labrador Retriever/Chesapeake Bay Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Chesapeake Bay Retriever for sale in Oak Lawn, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Chesapeake Bay Retriever puppy from a breeder in Oak Lawn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Lawn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Lawn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Chesapeake Bay Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Chesapeake Bay Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Lawn paves the way for another one to be saved.
