Alf's Story...
Meet Alf! Alf is a super sweet boy who was thrown outside by his owners when they no longer wanted him. Not only was Alf abandoned, but he now had to fight to survive outside. Alf is not supposed to be a "fighter". Alf is a total lover. Alf is very talkative and loving. He cries out for attention when he sees you walk by. He doesn't mind being held and he LOVES to be pet. Alf does fine with children as well. Alf clearly does not belong living outside without someone to love him. Alf belongs in a nice cozy home with plenty of attention and TLC. Alf deserves a chance.

We Spay/Neuter all of our cats and they receive the necessary medical care including Rabies, Three Distemper vaccines, De-worming, De-fleaing, Microchipping, and Testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV.

Care for Animals is located at 2944 Post Rd. Warwick, RI 02886. You are welcome to visit during hospital hours. Our hours are Monday 8-7, Tuesday — Thursday 8-5 and Friday 9-3. We’re also happy to set up weekend appointments.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alf, a Warwick Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Warwick, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Warwick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Warwick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Warwick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Warwick paves the way for another one to be saved.
