Tony 1 YR OLD's Story...
Just look at those eyes.... and ears!

Tony is one handsome guy, but his beauty isn't only skin deep. He has a great personality and loves people.

But one thing most people don't realize when they meet him is just how gentle this big guy is. He loves going on walks and is great on the leash. Even older children can walk him!

We believe Tony is a 1 year old Pit/Basenji mix. He arrived here at New Lease on Life a couple weeks ago from the Trumbull County Dog Pound after being picked up as a stray but no one ever came forward to claim him as their own.

But their loss is your gain because Tony is a great boy. He gets along well with other dogs and currently shares his kennel with one smaller Pit mix. He's also housebroken and knows a couple basic commands.

You can meet Tony at the Adoption Center Monday through Saturday 1pm to 7pm. He has not yet been neutered, but that will be done BEFORE he goes home. In the meantime, you can reserve him for adoption by coming in to meet him, filling out an application and leaving a 50% ($100) deposit. He will then be neutered next week and be ready to go home with you the next day.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tony 1 YR OLD, a Struthers Pit Bull Terrier/Basenji dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Basenji for sale in Struthers, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Basenji dog from a breeder in Struthers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Struthers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Struthers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Basenji breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Basenji rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Struthers paves the way for another one to be saved.
