Esmerelda's Story...
Hello! My name is Esmeralda, but everyone calls me Ezzie. I’m one of Lola’s puppies: an 8 week-old, German shepherd mix, and I live with my sister Lolita. I may be smaller than her, but I sure am scrappy. I’m fast, fun, and playful. I love to play with my older foster-brother, a 14-month GSD named Hadi, and boy can I stand my ground. Yesterday I even took out a mouthful of his tail! Oops! We’re still good friends though. When I’ve been playing hard for a while and it’s time to take a nap, I turn into a cuddle monster. I love curling up next to my sister or a human friend while sleeping. If I don’t feel safe next to a warm body, sometimes I cry out for a while, but I eventually fall asleep. I’m working very hard with my sister at potty training, and I sleep through the night, but sometimes I wake up a few times for a few minutes and cry. I’m so much fun and would be a great match for a home with kids. It would be wonderful to find a loving family with enough space or access to the outdoors for me to play!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Esmerelda, a Roswell German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Roswell, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Roswell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Roswell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Roswell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Roswell paves the way for another one to be saved.
