My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Darling Cosis is the cutest little thing we have ever seen. This teeny tiny Miniature Pinscher, along with her housemate, Camillo, were recently surrendered to us from loving owners, whose life changed dramatically once the baby came. It's a very sad state of affairs, indeed.

Cosis and Camillo were reported to have a bickering rapport, not overly bonded. Since she is now eight, we imagine that Cosis was less infatuated with Camillo's amorous intentions, when he joined her home as a pup, than their owners anticipated. Nevertheless, they seemed to have bonded through the course of the rescue process...although we have socialized them with other dogs so they can be adopted separately.

Cosis is a delicate little flower, weighing only five pounds. She has a fragile frame which rules out homes with kids and large, rambunctious dogs who could hurt her. She shows evidence of old injury to her two front legs, which were apparently both broken in a fall. The breaks are completely healed, but are now crooked, giving her a foreshortened stance and awkward gait. But no matter, this precious little girl scoots around like a lightning bug, and she certainly would not put up a fuss when being transported in her own designer bag.

Cosis has a delightfully impish personality, and she craves attention. She is the ideal lap companion dog, and would be well-suited to apartment life. Cosis is not much of a barker and would not pitch a fuss if left alone for a portion of the day. She is small and well behaved enough to travel anywhere and would easily fit into an airline approved Sherpa bag....I believe there is a leopard print style with her name on it.

Cosis is best suited to an active adult home: a single or couple, who have a lot of time to give her. She loves attention and has a sweet affectionate nature, without the over-the-top Diva quality of some female Min Pins. We'd describe Cosis as a medium energy dog without the need for a good deal of vigorous exercise. A couple of leisurely leash walks each day should do the trick, and she could easily be paper trained, if her adopter desires.

Cosis is in excellent health and has been spayed. She is vaccinated for routine shots and is heartworm negative. If you are interested in Cosis, please write to Denise@eskiesonline.com or call Denise at 720-903-0636 for more info.
