Anna's Story...
Anna is a special little lady that is in need of a forever home! She was pulled from Lafourche Parish Animal Shelter and had to have her front leg amputated due to a birth defect. We have had two veterinarians look at the other front leg to be sure there are no future issues we need to be aware of, and she has been given the ok. Her other front leg is ok and growing normally, and she is learning very quickly how to get around on three legs. Anna is an American Bulldog and her personality is the best even with all she has been through. Anna is great with other dogs, has an awesome temperament, about 6 months old, up to date on vaccinations, will be spayed soon and is crate trained. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Anna, a Baton Rouge American Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
