Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Winnifred is an amazingly sweet girl that just needs to find a home of her own. She was rescued from a bad breeding/hoarding situation and wants to make up for lost time! Please give this girl a chance and she will absolutely melt your heart.
Winnifred's adoption fee is $40 and our guinea pig applications are located on our home page at http://www.rchsks.org/our-animals/adopting-exotics you will need to fill out the guinea pig application and interview forms and email them to us at Exotic-Adopt@rchsks.org.
Guinea Pigs are the only other animal be sides the human primate that REQUIRES vitamin C. RCHS guinea pigs are fed a variety of fresh vitamin c filled veggies and fruits such as Squash, red and green bell peppers, dark leafy greens and zucchini. These are acceptable sources of vitamin C on a daily basis. You can also feed your guinea pig apples, orange or orange peels, and strawberries. HOWEVER, the fruits are high in sugar so those should only be fed once a week!
